Temporarily replacing our practise night (held about 100 yards down the road in Middleton Village Hall), we will be dancing from 7pm to 8pm. Then perhaps a drink or two. (Or three)

Peak District Mines Historical Society are hosting a 17th Century Miner's holiday at Magpie Mine, and have asked us to perform. We both revere T'Owd Man, so we're in. And they've got a witch too.

Saturday is Carnival Day. - There's a procession through the town at 2pm, followed by performances throughout the day.

Carnival Day and special to our hosts Winster Moriris, who have beed dancing as part of it for over a century. (And some of them don't look a day over 95).

BORDERING ON INSANITY 

On Friday 5th September 2025, a bunch of Border sides will converge at the Square and Compasses Darley Dale, and do what they do best. (Dance, drink, play instruments, drink, sing, drink...).  There will be many dance spots over the weekend up and down the Peak Rail route.   It's the first multi-side get-together we've organised ourselves, so we,'re REALLY looking forward to it.

100 years of Morris Dancing in Ripley.  Ripley Derbyshire.
